Ripe pear on the nose along with some fine woody aromas, melon and quince, and a nutty character. It's full-bodied and compact on the palate with substance and ripe fruit notes supported by an echo of the woody spice from the nose. There's a mineral character to the finish, with some light phenolic grip that encourages you to eat something alongside it.
