The red wine Vom Kalk Blauburgunder Südtirol DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Ignaz Niedrist has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright, elegant ruby red in colour. On the nose, aromas of candied raspberry, cranberry and sugared orange pieces, with some plum juice in the background. The palate is sweetly textured with great complexity, flinty, with a stony feel, multi-layered, still very young, capable of further ageing.
