The red wine Eltviller Rheinberg Spätburgunder, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut J. B. Becker has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Spicy and dark berry with a hint of wooden barrel patina, white pepper. Characterised by firm tannins on the palate, dense, powerful, almost biting in its structure. Yet despite being extremely closed the wine has recognisable aroma's and certain ageing potential, well-balanced power, subtle mineral background.
