The sweet and dessert wine Rosalito, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut JbN has been rated in 2011 with 92 - 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Dark garnet, slight browning, opaque core. Intense aromas of fig, sweet dried fruits, plum confit and a pronounced herbal savouriness, underlaid with a hint of honey. Chocolatey and elegant on the palate, with a creamy texture, well-balanced sweetness and lots of nougat, all powered by a fresh acidic structure, good length. The powerful tannins and nuances of black tea call for further maturation in the bottle, great ageing potential, full of character.
