Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, slightly watery rim. Intense bouquet of cherry, dried plum, Turkish honey, smoky and spicy, subtle hints of damp undergrowth, and balsamic notes. Full-bodied, pronounced fruit, powerful texture, but well-balanced despite the power, juicy, amarena cherry compote on the finish. It is a versatile wine type modelled on the Italian Amarone, but with Austrian grape varieties.
