The white wine »vom heißen Stein« Reil Riesling Kabinett, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Julius Treis has been rated in 2017 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
It has a savoury herbal fragrance, with a balsamic hint of over-ripeness with it, but also citrus and slate, and candied orange peel. There is a bright acidity, appropriate sweet fruit, and plenty of minerality. The palate refreshes, displaying a nice interplay and pedigree. It is a brilliant Kabinett.
