Sour cherry and red berries on the nose, also slightly savoury notes, marjoram. Subtle use of wood. In the mouth, the wine is dense with fine-grained tannins alongside mineral tones, a hint of astringency adds tension to the structure. Firm acidity and some juiciness give the wine balance despite the tight extract. The fruit still seems closed at the moment, but the path to a highly elegant maturity in the bottle is mapped out.
