The white wine »fumé« Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2024 from the winery Weingut Knöll & Vogel has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
"Fumé" can often be understood as a warning against overripe whites, but not at all here. Very fine use of wood on the nose, which only pleasantly tones down the Sauvignon flavours. On the palate, there is plenty of acidity, substance and fine lemony fruit.
