The red wine Staffes Lagrein Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Kornell has been rated in 2020 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Dark garnet red with a tendency to purple. Opens on the nose with rich berry fruit notes, blackberry, then dried rose petal and very ripe cherry, subtle cocoa and leather. The palate is marked by cool fruit with very well integrated wood, beautifully textured, slightly salty, powerful finish.
