The red wine Assmannshausen Höllenberg Spätburgunder GG, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Künstler has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Of the two GG Pinots, the Höllenberg is the somewhat more savoury one. Pink peppercorns, a hint of cloves, and lush raspberry characterise the aromas. A tad of sultana completes the bouquet. It is not only more savoury, but also more powerful. You notice this at the very latest, on the palate. The tannins are definitely perceptible, with verve. To lay down for a few years. Worth the wait!
