The white wine Oberwesel Oelsberg Riesling GG, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Lanius-Knab has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Mittelrhein in Germany.
On the nose it has smoky slatey notes, and opulent fruit, with orange confit, and raisin characters dominating the aromas. It is powerful on the palate, soft and broad, with a delicate layer of phenolics providing just as much support as the cultivated acidity. It is a powerful Riesling with excellent certain ageing potential.
