The red wine Blauer Zweigelt Gigama Grande Reserve, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Leth has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Wagram in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a broad ochre rim. There are aromas of lovely fine oak, with some vanilla and clove, dark berry, and ripe plum in the background. It is juicy, elegant, with discreet nougat, ripe plum, integrated savoury tannins, good freshness, minerality on the finish, and lovely fruit on the back palate. It will benefit from further bottle ageing.
