The red wine »Cabernet Cuvée« Strümpfelbach Altenberg trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Mödinger has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Württemberg in Germany.
The typical blackcurrant note appears here in a very good state of ripeness: without green tones, but also not jammy. There's plenty of herbal notes, with some caramel and milk chocolate from the wood too. Creamy on the palate, then developing dense, fine-grained tannins, with a finely mineral-accented juiciness on the finish. Elegant.
