The red wine Walporzheimer Kräuterberg Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Paul Schumacher has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Ethereal, wild blueberry, fresh herbs, very subtle boisé notes. Smooth and round on the palate, initially inconspicuous, quiet, harmonious, but then the tactile minerality gradually builds up, in step with a juicy, refined acidity, as well as tannins of the highest quality beautifully integrated into the elegant structure.
