The red wine »PSP R«, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Pollig Schmidt has been rated in 2026 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Ahr in Germany.
Balsamic spontaneous fermentation notes, roasted plums, elderberry pulp, white pepper. The palate is firmly structured, the tannins are very fine in structure and very dense in quantity, the tactile minerality dominates the second half of the palate and leads into an extremely long finish. The acidity is completely fused with the body, the fruit has potential. Very young!
