The red wine »R« Laubenheim Krone St. Laurent trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Sascha Montigny has been rated in 2018 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety St. Laurent from the region Nahe in Germany.
Sweet cherry and some beeswax on the nose, elderberry, spiciness almost in the direction of pimento and pepper. Fine tannins on the palate, lots of cherry, underlaid with herbal savouriness, and good structure. It is gripping but also very fine, and an Ideal accompaniment to game.
