The white wine Kloster Heilig Kreuz Weissburgunder VDP. Erste Lage, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Schloss Proschwitz – Prinz zur Lippe has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Saxony in Germany.
On the nose, buttery and floral, with a hint of truffle. Very supple initially on the palate, then structured, with firm acidity, an underlying hint of wood, savoury and textured mineral notes appear on the mid-palate. A fairly complete, traditional Pinot Blanc style, sinewy and elegant, together with some bottle maturity.
