The red wine »Villa von Layen« Cuvée, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Schlossmühle Dr. Höfer has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties St. Laurent, Dornfelder , Regent from the region Nahe in Germany.
Very ripe red fruit, black cherry, blackberry, also some plum, cooked wild berries. The palate has ripe, fine tannins, mild acidity and opulent sweetness, red fruit again, cherry jelly, good density, very individualistic, good length, for dessert.
