The red wine Gladiator, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut 47er Schwertführer has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Roesler from the region Thermenregion in Austria.
Deep ruby garnet colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Nuances of dark berries with delicate floral notes in the background, a hint of nougat, subtle hints of dried figs, and candied orange zest. Juicy, elegant, chocolaty texture, fine tannins, balanced, some nougat in the aftertaste, a full-bodied food wine.
