The red wine Merlot Distelwiese, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Unger has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are fresh aroma nuances of cassis and cranberry, as well as black cherry in the background, it is a fruity bouquet. On the palate it is juicy, with a lively structure, and a red cherry fruit flavour, and it is a pleasant food wine.
