The red wine Gimmeldingen Schlössel Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Völcker has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Wild blueberry, blueberry, juniper, pine conifer, subtle wood. A very clear, multi-layered aroma. Balanced, elegant structure: mealy to fine-grained tannins in rather restrained quantities, ripe acidity and definitely Pfalz power, but also with tactile-mineral components that add tension.
