The red wine Geradstetten Lichtenberg Regent im Barrique gereift, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut W. Häfner has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Regent from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Initially quite reductive, buttery and lactic, needs a lot of air, preferably in a decanter. Herbal notes then emerge, with aromas of dark chocolate and sour cherry. In the mouth, the wine has good tannins, fine-grained and initially mellow, the acidity is well integrated, the final fruit still seems closed, but like the aroma, it is overlaid with buttery notes.
