The sparkling wine Cuvée Sekt Pinot blanc de Noir extra brut, vintage 2010 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
It was disgorged in April 2017, and has a dark cream colour with reddish gold reflections. There are aromas of bready yeast, and some oak, quince, and strawberry. It has a ripe texture on the palate, with a fine near-silky mousse. It is fine-nerved, with some minerality, and a delicate sweetness underpins the fruit. It has a harmonious and powerful style.
