The red wine Goldberg Spätburgunder, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points.
On the nose nuances of chocolate, almond and cranberry, herbs and even macchia. Also tobacco. On the palate the wine seems very balanced, dense but not over-concentrated, with plenty of juice under the slightly grippy, ripe tannins. Acidity and suppleness give elegance to the structure.
