The white wine »Alte Rebe« Sommerach Katzenkopf Silvaner Spätlese trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Zehnthof – Familie Weickert has been rated in 2016 with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
The nose reveals herbal aromas, wild flowers, nutshells, yellow apple and apple skin, as well as mirabelle plum. Slight melting carried by the residual sugar, also somewhat peppery alongside the fruit. Slightly grapefruity finish, quite taut here.
