The white wine »Leo« Chardonnay feinherb, vintage 2021 from the winery Weinhaus am Wißberg has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
On the nose, "Leo" offers not only tree blossom, but also a touch of meat broth, which does not seem out of place at all. Salty in the mouth and quite dense, the spontaneous fermentation did not want to ferment all the way through. Not a Chablis as a result, but a really charming, fruit-driven wine!
