The white wine Meißen Ratsweinberg Traminer Spätlese halbtrocken, vintage 2013 from the winery Weinkellerei Tim Strasser has been rated in 2014 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Saxony in Germany.
The aroma is complex, but not exuberant: candy, aniseed and fennel seeds, lychee, roses, nutmeg. Taut and gripping on the palate, fresh acidity with a suitably sweet counterbalance, a modern interpretation of an elegant Traminer with subtle spice.
