Tasting Notes
The grapes come mainly from the cooler Carneros region, with some more intense material from the Sierra Madre Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. 45 percent of the Chardonnay was matured in new wood. Strong yellow gold, shows a strong nose of hazelnut, aromatic fruit, pineapple, peach and vanilla, a strong structure on the palate, already harmonious, rich in finesse, more "European" than fat, appears less complex on the palate than the nose promises, medium length, fresh finish. Elegant food companion.
