The white wine Sommerach Katzenkopf Silvaner Eiswein, vintage 2016 from the winery Winzer Sommerach – Die Genossenschaft has been rated in 2018 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
A clear varietal type aromas, some yellow fruit, macadamia nut, a tiny bit of candied fruit. Slightly viscous on the palate, marked by fine sweetness acidity interplay, precise and clear in its flavours. It is on par with a powerful auslese in density and sweetness, and it is a success.
