The red wine Ungerberg, vintage 2012 from the winery Winzerhaus Nittnaus has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Zweigelt from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Dark ruby, purple reflections with subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, ripe dark berry confit, plum nuances, underlaid with dark chocolate. The palate is complex, textured, and fruity with well-integrated, supporting tannins, mineral and persistent with nougat on the finish. Certain ageing potential.
