The red wine Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve Zweigelt Ried Spiegellus, vintage 2016 from the winery Winzerhaus Nittnaus has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Burgenland in Austria.
It has a deep dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose there is a hint of liquorice and blackberry, some nougat and oak aromas, as well as hints of cherry and vanilla. It is juicy, with ripe cherry, integrated tannins, and it is very youthful and fresh, with good length, and a salty minerality on the finish. It is an appetizing food wine, and it has reached its first drinking maturity.
