The white wine »Edition« Deidesheim Kieselberg Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Winzerverein Deidesheim has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Less primary fruit, and more site expression on the nose, stony notes, slightly smoky. On the palate, compact and linear, with a juicy-creamy texture, a round sweetness, the savoury minerality of Kieselberg, notes of tangerine, a nice extraction, good length.
More about the tastingExceptionally discreet on the nose, very little prominent primary fruit, light aromas of apricot and some mustard seed. The fine gliding texture also dominates the aromatics on the palate, well-integrated flat acidity, little sweetness. Elegant Riesling for the table.
