This extremely stylish bar gem in the luxury Hotel Brenner's is a popular meeting place for high society, especially of the international gallop raciness. The Oleander Bar was named after the legendary thoroughbred stallion from Baron Schlenderhahn's stud farm. The quality of the drinks and the ambience are outstanding.
For 25 years, this establishment has stood for bar culture at the highest level. In 2022, the drinks menu - previously almost as thick as a telephone directory - was slimmed down and trimmed to reflect the spirit of the times, without the selection losing any of its authenticity. In summer, the Santo Hotel's local gem attracts guests with its cosy terrace.
They still exist: the bars where everything is just right. The atmosphere of the former wine cellar, the sweet smell of cigar smoke. And of course the drinks. In Freiburg, every gourmet knows where to go when life needs a glass of indulgence. Wherein, its namesake certainly wouldn’t have stopped at just one glass.
The chic lobby bar in the four-star Hotel Blauer Reiter, which opened in 2019, impresses with first-class cocktails from bar manager Niklas Strohmenger and a cosy winter garden. Cocktail courses and a special menu for ladies are offered on selected days. Not to be confused with the Berlin Curtain Club.

At Europa-Park, you feel like a giant, crossing entire countries with just a few steps. In the amusement park's Buena Vista Club bar, you feel extra gigantic. This is due to the charming interior as well as the drinks. They are more like reliable, calm waters than a rollercoaster ride.
Visitors to this bar might be tempted to pull out their binoculars and use them - like the bar's namesake - to find out what is lurking at the bottom of all those bottles behind the counter. But you don't have to: the friendly staff provide expert advice - but it's still a little adventure.
Europa-Park bar in the superior Bell Rock Hotel impresses with its extensive range of whisk(e)y and 1920s-style ambience. The Spirit of St. Louis Bar has a separate non-smoking area. In summer, numerous seats on the terrace invite you to linger and enjoy. Small dishes are also on offer.
A bar that dispenses with labels because the spirits and what the bar staff make of them speak for themselves. And if you need to reflect after a few drinks, you can even have a cigarette here at the bar late at night. The bar is clearly a cult bar.
That's really something special. Sitting in the forest and feeling like you're in a metropolis. This is partly due to the extensive drinks menu, but also because there is nothing superfluous on it. So you order a Manhattan, why not, and shake your head at life.
On the sixth floor of the Jazz in the City hotel is the chic bar with a huge rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the city, while standing, sitting or lying in Balinese beds. And all this with exquisite drinks. You can eat downstairs at Rhythms Bar & Kitchen.
