"Outdoor Dining Area" Wine Bars in Styria
There is no need to go through the names of the surrounding vineyards. Christian Zach has them all. And he has something against "label drinkers": namely wines that no one has on their radar (yet). Just let the experts do it. This also applies to Fuchs' cuisine!
The historic building in the heart of the city also houses a wine cellar dating back to the 16th century, so it is only logical that around 150 fine wines are served here - and a few hundred more from the Kehlberghof on request. Plus excellent delicacies.
Before (or after) you plunge into southern Styria, the "Genussregal" offers a cross-section of all its liquid and solid delights. In addition to Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc etc., the bistro also offers Vulcano ham, cheese and countless other delicacies.
The tiny store may not score on spaciousness, but the shelves groan under the delicacies, from the huge cheese display case (140 to choose from) to the antipasti. You can treat yourself to a good glass in house - and don't really want to leave.

For Maurizio, indulgence is also a family affair: the coffee comes from his uncle and his Italian mother helps to source the best produce from her homeland. Delicacies pile up, from solid (cheese, prosciutto, antipasti etc.) to liquid (grappa, vino etc.).
Instead of snowboarding and skiing, Manuel and Anna Veith have been devoting themselves to their lovely boutique hotel in Schladming's mountain paradise for several years now. In the stylish and cosy wine bar, they focus on a fine selection of natural wines and bar food made from regional ingredients in tapas format.
Around 400 variations of everything that can be made from grapes around the world can be purchased here. Thanks to the large selection by the glass, you can even try some of them. The antipasti accompaniment tastes just as good as the strong espresso roasted in-house to finish.
Of course, the sparkling wine - Pinot Noir aged for three years on the lees, for example - is a must. But the delicatessen at Riegersburg Castle has much more to offer in terms of culinary delights. A Fitz cake on the panoramic terrace, Vulcano ham or elderberry juice are just a few examples.
