Oktoberfest is on its way to Covent Garden

Bierschenke is opening up at a new venue on Earlham Street.

A Bavarian beer hall is coming to Covent Garden this Spring with the opening of Bierschenke, a 12,000sqft venue that will offer beer, sausages, schnitzel, oompah music parties and a whole lot more.

The company formerly operated out of a venue in Fenchurch Street, but the new site is expected to be up and running in the next few weeks at the former Belgo restaurant on Earlham Street. Bierschenke staff will be wearing traditional Lederhosen and will be serving their four signature beers: Dunkel, Munich IPA, Bierschenke Lager and Bierschenke Wheatbeer, all brewed by Müllerbräu, a family-owned craft brewery based in Bavaria.

“This is one of London’s iconic locations and an ideal fit for our highly-rated and authentic Munich Bierkeller experience in London,” said a spokesperson for Bierschenke. “We cannot wait for the grand opening followed by our traditional Oktoberfest in the autumn.”
