"Visititaly" uses hype about abandoned baby monkey Punch
The story of Punch from a zoo near Tokyo, who was rejected by his mother, has travelled around the world. Not only does his new dearest friend, a plush monkey, become a commercial success, the tourism platform "Visititaly" also uses the little guy for a heartwarming campaign.
The story of Punch, a baby monkey abandoned by his mother, has gone around the world. The macaque baby from a Japanese zoo in Ichikawa near Tokyo sought comfort from a toy orangutan. The pictures and videos of Punch and his fluffy friend have since gone around the world. It wasn't just IKEA that recently saw its shelves emptied, the tourism platform "Visititaly" also knows how to use the heartbreaking story of the little monkey.
The story tells the world of a tiny baby macaque, rejected by its mother and finding solace with the orangutan. And the hype begins. In an affectionate campaign, "Visititaly" now tells what would have become of Punch if he had left his mother in Italy, and outlines an alternative timeline for the little monkey's life.
And this is what the scenario looks like, which has already been liked and commented on thousands of times on Instagram:
Two hours later he would have a nonna.
Then a whole piazza would cheer him on.
Then cards with the Nonno.
Then old traditions.
Then pasta.
Then the sea.
In the meantime, there is also good news about Punch's fate: he seems to have made friends with a troop of monkeys; a recent video from a visitor to Ichikawa City Zoo shows seven-month-old Punch playfully performing gymnastics through the enclosure - side by side with his animal friends rather than his plush substitute.
