The Campanha wine region is located in the south of the country, on the border with Uruguay, which is also known to produce excellent wines. On flat slopes, at about 300 metres above sea level, Brazil produces excellent wines here. The climate is mild, with warm and dry summers. French and Portuguese varieties are used here, and the vineyards are not irrigated.
