The premises of a former grocery store have been transformed into a true work of art, with pastel swans on the walls, moderately eccentric furniture, and bright color accents. However, the main focus here is on breakfasts, which are probably the most photogenic in Warsaw. Iron trays, vintage ice cream bowls, unusual egg stands, and dishes with portions of homemade butter are all part of the beautiful presentation.

Marszałkowska 19, 00-628 Warschau, Poland

The place that embraces the Danish approach to breakfast, minimalist yet perfectly balanced. Simplicity, quality, and locally sourced ingredients are the key players at Baken. Their bread is only homemade, artisanal, and sourdough; cheese and butter come from local farmers, and the eggs are free-range. From all these elements, every morning they create simple and straightforward, yet absolutely stunning dishes.

Żurawia 6/12, 00-503 Warschau, Poland

A vegan patisserie and specialty coffee shop with all the possible amenities: exquisite pastries, croissants, macarons, cakes, and sandwiches, as well as interesting options for vegan coffee drinks and even gluten-free choices. Everything is of excellent quality, located right in the city center, and presented in a bright, lively interior.

Hoża 5/7, 00-528 Warschau, Poland

A small chain of cafés and bakeries that has long and successfully focused on breakfasts. The places are always crowded, with a non-intrusive atmosphere that embodies the essence of a well-done urban café with all the comforts.

Bagatela 14, 00-585 Warschau, Poland

Several small but cult-like Warsaw bakeries, clearly inspired by French bistros. Here, you can find excellent baguettes stacked in baskets on the counters, a decent selection of sweet pastries like almond croissants and éclairs, and great breakfast options. Naturally, there are morning queues forming for the delicious offerings.

Hoża 42, 00-516 Warschau, Poland

An unremarkable-looking house hidden in the courtyards of the Saska Kępa district holds an almost perfect city bakery - one that will make you want to take a couple of loaves home or unexpectedly stop by if you're in the area. If you happen to visit, we recommend trying their local must-have, the miso bread - it's utterly addictive.

Walecznych 5, 03-916 Warschau, Poland

A grand and elegant bakery located at the Raffles Europejski Warsaw hotel is beautiful both in itself and in terms of prices - which, considering the location, could have been much higher. Here you can find some of the best croissants in the city, excellent sourdough bread, worthy sandwiches, and even cocktails and wines (undoubtedly, a great addition to a bakery).

Ossolińskich 3, 00-072 Warschau, Poland

Doughnuts are an eternal and almost sacred story for all Poles (and these are not empty words: on «Fat Thursday», a Christian holiday, it is customary to indulge in doughnuts to the fullest). So, when it comes to baked goods in Warsaw, you simply cannot do without. Perhaps the main spot for this is MOD, where they serve fresh doughnuts with a huge (really huge!) selection of interesting fillings and excellent coffee.

Paryska 37, 03-945 Warschau, Poland

What happens if a sous-chef of a cult fine-dining restaurant opens his own bakery and patisserie shop? The answer is right before your eyes: Odette, a unique and very colorful project that has almost no analogs in Warsaw. Each of their local desserts is Instagram-worthy, with form and content always going hand in hand. Odette is now a small and highly popular chain of patisseries, with a special emphasis on high quality tea compositions.

Twarda 4, 00-105 Warschau, Poland

People travel even from the other side of Warsaw to this tiny artisan bakery, located on a not-so-presentable street. And they do it for a good reason. The bread at Rano is one of the best in the city. Besides that, they offer amazing sweet pastries, traditional cream-filled brioche on weekends, and almost genius sandwiches, unquestionably made with their own bread.
