A picturesque house with exceptional architecture and great attention to detail, harmoniously surrounded by wild flowers and herbs, dense forests, lush orchards and powerful vines. The Domaene am Seggauberg, with its magnificent views, the buzzing of bees and hearty chirping of birds, invites you to relax, linger and enjoy. Established more than 15 years ago on a traditional fruit farm, organic farming has been practiced here naturally and with consistency from the very beginning. There is a great deal of passion, appreciation and respect for nature; wine is created first and foremost, but also high-quality honey, gin, various vinegars and much more are produced here.

The 18 hectares of vineyards are spread over different parts of southern Styria, such as the Seggauberg, the Sausal area, the Obegg site in Spielfeld, the Kreuzberg in Eichberg-Trautenburg, and thus promise wines full of character, shaped by different soils and the respective microclimates. Astrid and Toni Hirschmugl are also considered pioneers in Styria when it comes to PiWi grape varieties like Muscaris, Cabernet Blanc or Cabertin. Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Traminer, Zweigelt and St. Laurent round off the range.

The minerality of the soil, the interplay of temperatures, the microclimate of the Hirschmugl sites, the creativity of the talented cellar master Alexander Scherübl and the characteristics of the varieties result in the finesse of these exceptional wines. They are ambassadors of their very special terroir and, with their elegance, tension and delicate minerality, are by no means arbitrarily interchangeable. Drinkability and storability are at the forefront of all decisions, the processing of healthy grapes has top priority here.

On the Domaene am Seggauberg and in the vineyards, various species of vipers can be found. These non-poisonous snakes are regarded as indicators of a vibrant environment, which can only be guaranteed if the vineyards are worked in a way that is close to nature. To document this understanding of nature, the adder is also used on the label.
