Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2024

Caroline Diel is particularly famous for Riesling and sparkling wine, but this year the Burgundy varieties shone (in the absence of the Riesling GGs). The Falstaff team discussed for a long time whether the "Cuvée Victor" or the "Pinot Gris Réserve" deserved the higher rating. In the end, we opted for the "mischievous" and enormously concentrated Pinot Gris. But there are certainly occasions - at the table, for example - when "Victor" triumphs with its great finesse. When tasting the Pinot Noir "Caroline", we felt transported to Burgundy. Chapeau!
