Copenhagen
According to the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Global Liveability Index 2025, Copenhagen is the new most liveable city in the world. The Danish capital ousted Vienna from the top spot after three years - Vienna now shares second place with Zurich, both scoring 97.1 out of 100 points. Copenhagen is ahead with 98.0 points - thanks to top scores in stability, education and infrastructure. The index rates 173 cities worldwide.

Price explosion at the Wiesn 2025
The Munich Oktoberfest is a tradition - and the price of the Wiesn-Maß increases just as reliably every year. This year, a liter will cost between 14.50 and 15.80 euros, according to the Munich Economic Department; on average 3.5 percent more than in 2024. Monument to the Queen
A new memorial to Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, who died in 2022, is being built in St. James's Park in London. The centerpiece of the ensemble will be a glass bridge inspired by the diamond-studded tiara that Elizabeth wore for her wedding in 1947.
