Most vacationers are drawn to the water. That's why hotels located directly on a lake are particularly popular. A new internet portal now provides information on all hotels located on the water. In Austria that is 169 accommodations. More than 100 search filters allow you to search for houses with their own jetty, with a sandy beach, with a sunbathing lawn, for rooms with a lake view or for the nearest boat rental and many other things that are important for a vacation directly on the lake!
Just in time for the start of the bathing season, the new online platform see-hotel.info launches, presenting vacation options in the immediate vicinity of the lake. There are 241 hotels in Austria, 169 of which are located directly on the water. "We used satellite maps to find all the hotels that really deserve the name Seehotel. For us, these were only hotels that are either located directly on the water or from which you can easily walk to the beach with your swimming trunks and air mattress," explains Managing Director Erwin Oberascher. The new hotel platform is free of charge for accommodation providers and there are no booking commissions.
Austrians have also been in a great vacation mood since the nationwide hotel reopening: "Since mid-May, the number of hits on all our hotel platforms has not only been significantly higher than in the previous year, but also 120 percent higher than in 2019. As in the previous year, hotels in good locations by the water will certainly be in short supply in July and August," says Oberascher.
