Monte-Carlo One: New Hotel Project Unveiled in Courchevel

The Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (S.B.M.) has unveiled ambitious plans for its new hotel project in Courchevel 1850.

The Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is, as the name suggests, a Monegasque company that specializes in the areas of Tourism, leisure and entertainment. Founded in 1863 by François Blanc, it has since played a key role in ensuring that the Principality of Monaco is becoming an increasingly attractive travel destination. In addition to well-known luxury hotels in Monaco, it also operates casinos, restaurants and luxurious spas. Now the company is venturing out into neighboring France. In world-famous ski resort Courchevel 1850 is to be the site of an ambitious hotel project; it will be the first hotel of the new international brand Monte-Carlo One – Hotels & Residences.

Das “One” im Namen der neuen Marke soll eine Verbindung zwischen dem Erbe und der Zukunft von S.B.M. herstellen. Es handelt sich um eine Marke, die stets for excellence strives for. It aims to realize unique visions of ultra-luxury, hospitality, gastronomy and exclusivity.

Art de Vivre in Monte Carlo style

The new hotel of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is set to open in the 2026/2027 winter season. However, it will not be a new building, but an extensive renovation of the former Palace de Neiges inmitten des “Jardin Alpin”. Wenn das internationale Architekturbüro Herzog & de Meuron mit der Umgestaltung fertig ist, erwartet die Gäste eine Harmonious combination of design and the highest environmental standards. At the same time, the new brand is also bringing the famous Monegasque Art de Vivre across borders.

“Mit der Einführung von Monte-Carlo One – Hotels & Residences we show our willingness to open up to new markets by offering experiences and excellence that are characteristic of Monte-Carlo. This brand will be used by our Group developed values verkörpern, um den Erwartungen einer immer anspruchsvolleren internationalen Kundschaft gerecht zu werden”, says Stéphane Valerithe deputy chairman of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. He even sees Courchevel as the Alpine version of the Principality, especially because of its top sporting events.

Politicians are also delighted. The mayor of the prestigious ski resort, Jean-Yves Pachod, hopes that the collaboration will strengthen Courchevel's position as a international destination weiter. Auch das Engagement der Unternehmensgruppe in Sachen nachhaltigen und verantwortungsvollen Luxus begrüße man. Pachod ist überzeugt: “This new prestigious hotel complex will enrich the exceptional offer of our region, not least with regard to the Winter Olympics im Jahr 2030.”
