A new luxury retreat will open directly on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in April 2026. A private estate from the 19th century, where Winston Churchill and Audrey Hepburn once resided, has been given a new lease of life under the management of the "COMO" hotel group by a grande dame of the Côte d'Azur. The "COMO Le Beauvallon" extends over ten hectares and offers guests palm-shaded gardens and numerous terraces as well as a private yacht jetty and a 25-meter-long pool to relax in. The 42 exclusive rooms and suites are flooded with light in a Riviera aesthetic with a magnificent view of the Côte d'Azur. The vibrant center of Saint-Tropez can be reached by boat in just eight minutes. The kitchen concept is star-studded: Yannick Alléno, who has been awarded a total of 17 Michelin stars, is responsible for the "Beauvallon Sur Mer". Here you can enjoy the finest dishes and cool drinks right by the sea. The "Winter Garden", the all-day dining restaurant, offers a casual atmosphere. Of course, the signature restaurant "COMO Shambhala Kitchen" with healthy and light dishes is not to be missed.

"Vestige Binidufà", Menorca, Spain

On April 30, 2026, "Vestige Binidufà", the new boutique hotel of the luxury hospitality group "Vestige Collection", will open in the quiet north of Menorca. Nestled in a gentle valley, terraces and gardens offer sweeping views over green hills, the characteristic red earth of Menorca and grazing cattle. Eleven rooms and suites visually reflect the warmth of the valley. Natural materials, colors inspired by the surroundings and the dialogue between past and present characterize the rooms. Furniture from the in-house design studio "Vestige Estudio", antiques and contemporary art lend personality to every room.

In culinary terms, "Binidufà" relies on the vegetarian restaurant "Mesura", which focuses on regional ingredients such as vegetables, herbs and dairy products from neighboring farms. A carefully curated program of experiences provides insights into Menorca's natural and cultural heritage: from walking and cycling trails to craft workshops and culinary traditions. Massages and treatments with organic oils and the scents of local herbs round off the offer. The hotel complements its sister hotel "Son Ermità" on a private 800-hectare estate.

"Aino Private Island Hotel", Rovaniemi, Lapland

Once a guard post, the private island "Vartiosaari" is a place full of history. As early as the late 20th century, the natural beauty of the island was appreciated and a boutique hotel and restaurant was built, where guests such as Queen Margrethe of Denmark have stayed. Today, you will find the "Aino Private Island Hotel" here, a charming adults-only hotel that promises an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life between lapping water and lush green trees. As soon as you leave the bridge that separates the mainland from the small island, you are immersed in another world. The eleven rooms and suites and the private villa are cozy retreats that dispense with unnecessary frills. Mindfulness is practiced in the "Soul Pharmacy" - be it with progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, ice bathing or Finnish sauna rituals. Of course, aurora experiences are a must: one highlight is floating in the icy water under the night sky.

High above the town and on the outskirts of Oberbozen, a new retreat is opening up this year. The "Bella Posta" is idyllically situated between the mountains and the town and combines traditional South Tyrolean hospitality with Mediterranean "dolce vita". The sister house of the popular "Parkhotel Holzner" has been lovingly restored in recent years and now scores points for more than just its excellent location. The Holzner host family can look back on a long tradition of hospitality, and their passion and hospitality can also be felt here. The "Gioia Spa" attracts guests with a steam bath, sauna, indoor pool and cozy relaxation room. With the "Dolce Vita All Day" concept, guests don't just feast early in the morning and in the evening. The all-inclusive light catering concept also serves the finest delicacies during the day. If you fancy a shopping tour through Bolzano's old town, the cable car is just a few minutes' walk away. Use is free of charge for guests with the Südtirol Guest Pass.

"Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli", Venice, Italy

The "Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli" is the second hotel to open this year as part of the cooperation between "Accor" and "LVMH". The 15th century palazzo is located in Cannaregio, a part of Venice that is not yet overrun by tourists and yet is only a few minutes away from the historic center. The former private residence belonged to two art-loving and design-savvy families, which is why the interior features ballrooms, frescoes, mosaics, Murano glass chandeliers and clever secret passageways. Under the pen of designer Aline Asmar d'Amman, new life has been breathed into the house. Between neo-Gothic and Baroque, guests embark on a journey through time for all the senses. There are 47 rooms, suites and apartments in the palazzo, each room more aesthetically pleasing than the next. The "Wagon Bar" pays tribute to the golden age of train travel. As befits a Venetian luxury palazzo, guests reach the house by boat through a Gothic portal and find themselves in a world of their own.

"Capella Kyoto", Kyoto, Japan

With the opening of the "Capella Kyoto", one of the world's culturally richest cities has a new place of quiet excellence. In Kyoto, where tradition is not preserved but lived, the hotel blends carefully into a historically grown environment and interprets luxury as a cultural experience - respectful, reduced and deeply connected to the place. The architecture and design of the house are characterized by clear lines and skilful restraint. Muted colors and traditional materials such as wood, stone and paper create a very special atmosphere in the 89 rooms and suites. 29 of the suites have a private onsen and offer a unique, private bathing experience. A special focus is placed on holistic well-being. The hotel's spa is designed as a place of regeneration, inspired by Japanese healing traditions and the power of silence. Rituals, baths and treatments follow the individual need for peace and balance.
