After two years of extensive renovation the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden is once again welcoming guests. Following its redesign, the traditional Oetker Collection hotel combines classic grand hotel culture with a clear aesthetic line.
For more than 150 years, the Brenners has shaped the European hotel industry. Now the building, located between Lichtentaler Allee and Baden-Baden's city center, is opening its doors once again.
Managing Director Stephan Boesch describes the reopening as "a true renaissance": it has been possible to preserve the historical heritage and at the same time create an atmosphere "that corresponds to today's understanding of travel and life - surrounded by beauty, nature and meaning".
Countess Bergit Douglas, head of the design studio MM-Design, was responsible for the redesign. She developed an interior concept that combines European elegance with an individual signature.
A total of 27 room and suite concepts were created, combining the style of the late 19th century with modern accents. Fabrics and wall coverings from Colefax & Fowler, Pierre Frey and De Gournay set subtle color accents between pastel blue, coral and deep green.
Historical elements - such as exposed wooden beams from the 19th century - were integrated into the new room concepts. Antique furniture and handmade pieces from regional production create a tension between tradition and the present. Building materials such as bricks and wood were preserved or reused, and old fabrics were turned into notebooks and cushions.
Wellbeing remains a focal point of the hotel. The modernized Brenners Spa & Wellbeing combines medical diagnostics and holistic treatments. In addition to classic spa treatments, the concept also includes offers such as forest baths, detox programs or candle sound baths.
The adjoining Brenners Medical Care offers preventive health programs that combine medical care with the comfort of a grand hotel.
Located close to the Museum Frieder Burda and the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa positions itself as a place that continues the history of the European grand hotel industry without remaining stuck in it.
