Your Reason to book:
Located in an annex of Palazzo Borghese, one of the most splendid palazzos in Rome, this small but enchanting boutique hotel has an abundance of charm and romance. From the moment you enter the well-hidden domicile and are greeted by its unmistakable jasmine scent, which can be smelled throughout the hotel, you immediately feel at home.
Location & neighborhood
Rooms & suites
With just 17 posh rooms, Hotel Vilòn is one of the smallest luxury hotels in the eternal city. But it has everything from intimate, cozy boudoirs to spacious, sumptuous suites, some with private terraces and views of Palazzo Borghese's secret courtyard garden. The accommodations' walk-in closets will tempt some guests to promptly hire an interior designer when they return home. The modern marble bathrooms with rain showers and enough space for two also leave nothing to be desired. In addition, the suites are equipped with a bathtub.
Food & Drink
With Adelaide, the hotel also has a first-class restaurant serving Italian cuisine at the highest level. Named after Princess Borghese, the restaurant pays tribute to Italian tradition. The gourmet menu, created by Executive Chef Gabriele Muro, combines different accents of Italy's Mediterranean cuisine with modern influences. With his creative and impeccable menu, the 24-year-old chef has turned out to be an absolutely exceptional talent who undoubtedly has a great culinary career ahead of him.
Its creative dishes vary depending on the season; with regional produce of the highest quality. With its elegant flavors and fidelity to Roman culinary art, the restaurant has also established itself as a culinary hotspot among locals. In warm weather, guests also enjoy their meals on the terrace in a uniquely bohemian atmosphere.
Service & Amenities
The manageable number of 17 rooms allows the staff to devote their undivided attention to the guests. Hotel manager Annabella Cariello pays the utmost attention to the satisfaction of visitors and spares no effort to make their stay in Rome unforgettable. Whether it's ordering a private chauffeur, booking a private tour guide or organizing childcare, Cariello and her team are available around the clock and maintain the best contacts in the city. A particularly nice touch: guests will find a note on their bedside table with the weather forecast for the day ahead, so they can plan their activities accordingly. It's the little details that make a hotel like the Vilòn stand out from the crowd.
Recommendations from the editors
Guests who book a room with a terrace should not miss ordering their breakfast to their room and enjoying Roman delicacies al fresco overlooking the Borghese Garden.
For the best room rate, it is best to book through the hotel's own website. For excursion tips and restaurant recommendations, the hard-working team is always available. If you spill something, it's best to contact the hotel manager, Annabella Cariello, who knows the best trick for removing even the most stubborn stain.
