The picturesque wine village of Varen in Valais is always worth a visit. It is also home to the C. Varonier & Söhne winery, which was founded in 1969 and is now in its third generation of family ownership. Around six hectares of vines are cultivated, which have been converted to biodynamic cultivation this year. Under the aegis of vineyard manager Andy Varonier, authentic wines are produced that skilfully combine Valais tradition with the spirit of the times. The courage to innovate is always noticeable.
