Wie es der Name der Parzelle schon verrät, befinden sich diese über 40 Jahre alten Blauburgunder Rebstöcke auf einer sehr durchlässigen Gesteinsunterlage, welche mehrheitlich vom seltenen blauen Schiefer geprägt ist. Wie der Boden so der Wein: Dieser gesteinreiche Boden verleiht dem Pinot Noir CÄSAR seine unglaublich mineralische Struktur, welche im Abgang ein fast schon salzigen Nachgang warhnehmen lässt. Alle Weine aus der Linie CÄSAR weisen ein grosses Lagerpotential auf.

Clear fruity aromas on the nose with notes of ripe and dried plum, blackberry and cassis. There are also savoury hints of allspice and bay leaf. Super juicy on the palate, crystal-clear fresh fruit, fine, slightly noticeable tannins and a long finish.
