Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2026

Wine has been produced at the Schloss Plars winery for three generations. The characteristic, typical white and red wines of the estate grow on the sunny vineyards above Algund in the Merano region. Manual labour and natural cultivation - from pruning to harvest - combined with innovative cellar technology form the basis for high-quality wines. Gentle grape processing and careful handling of the wine demonstrate winemaker Andreas Theiner's class that the terroir of the vineyards and the character of the grape varieties are expressed in the wines.
