Schloss Korb is a noble vinum hotel that dominates the hills of Missian near Eppan. The hotel also includes a family vineyard with vineyards around the castle. Winemaker and hotelier Fritz Dellago cultivates his precious wines with great passion and dedication - a high standard that produces impressive results. Despite the relatively small vineyard area, there is a broad diversity with a total of 14 varieties: Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, Ruländer, Riesling, Incrocio Manzoni, Vernatsch, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Lagrein, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Manseng. The grapes are processed in a former World War II bunker on the driveway to the castle. Behind the metre thick concrete walls, the wine has peace and time to mature. The martial building of yesteryear now has a peaceful, enjoyable use. Winemaker Fritz Dellago loves variety, but does not have a favourite variety. He is fascinated by every successful wine. The most important thing for him is the varietal character. He is convinced that nothing should be adulterated - and that is exactly how his wines are: honest and unadulterated.
